License Renewal Date: Biennial

CPE Reporting Period: January 1 - December 31

General Requirements
  • 80 Total CPE Hours
  • 40 Technical Subjects CPE Hours
  • 2 Tennessee Specific Ethics CPE Hours
Annual Requirements
  • 20 Annual CPE Hours

Technical Subjects include Accounting, Taxes, Regulatory Ethics, Accounting (Governmental), Management Services, Auditing, Auditing (Governmental), Business Law, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Specialized Knowledge, Statistics.

Half credits are accepted.

  • Are you engaged in attest function (including compilations)?
    If Yes: 20 Accounting and Auditing CPE Hours
Initial License:

Licensees seeking to renew an initial certificate issued less than one year prior to expiration will be exempt from CPE requirements for that renewal period. Licensees seeking to renew an initial certificate issued less than two years but more than one year prior to expiration must complete 40 CPE hours, including 20 technical hours, and two hours of Board-approved State Ethics.
